“Kelajakka Qadam” Programme

Purpose of the Programme
The “Kelajakka Qadam” programme aims to prepare university graduates for the demands of the labour market, develop their professional and entrepreneurial potential, support startup initiatives, and streamline the employment process.
Main Directions of the Programme
- Ensuring Graduate Employment
The programme includes a comprehensive system aimed at supporting graduate employment:
- systematic identification of employers’ needs for qualified personnel and aligning academic training accordingly;
- targeted placement of graduates into suitable vacancies and assistance with employment procedures;
- financing individual professional training programmes based on employer requests;
- enhancing practical skills through internships and industry-based training;
- recommending winners of open competitions to leading employers and supporting their employment;
- establishing graduate employment support as a priority task for university leadership.
These mechanisms help increase graduates’ competitiveness and create real employment opportunities.
- Support for Business Ideas and Startups
The programme provides a favourable ecosystem for students and graduates wishing to develop their own entrepreneurial projects:
- full support throughout the entire process — from idea to finished project;
- preferential financing for startups (grants, soft loans, acceleration programmes);
- expert consultations on business planning, project management, and financial literacy;
- cooperation with enterprises to implement innovative ideas in practice.
- Encouraging Youth through Open Competitions
Within the programme:
- open sector-based competitions are held among graduates and junior students;
- winners receive employment opportunities and support for professional development;
- employer-driven professional training programmes are financed.
- Internships and Practical Training
A key component of the programme is the development of practical skills:
- industrial internships, workplace practice, and sector-specific training;
- professional preparation in partnership with employers;
- opportunities for short-term study programmes at foreign universities;
- financing of practical training arrangements.
This direction ensures that young specialists can quickly and effectively adapt to real working conditions.
